30 Days of Star Wars: What's at Macy's

I had time between my classes and work, so I decided to loaf around my local mall and made a stop at Macy's. I went to the juniors department and of course I found some more Star Wars apparel. So naturally, I picked up a bunch of items and tried them on in the fitting. I didn't buy anything, but I have some items on my Christmas wish list.

This was my favorite. It was super comfy and I love how the print is on the side. It's in your face, but in a cool way. I might have to get it on Black Friday because if you click on the link, they have it on sale for $19.99.

Stormtrooper Fit and Flare Dresses $44 Top, Bottom

I don't even think you can call these two dresses. They were so freaking short and I'm 5'7". Maybe if your body shape was straight up and down, you can get away with the shortness of it. Or just consider it as a long top and wear pants underneath. That's a thing again right?

If you want to be comfy while watching The Force Awakens, this can be a nice option.

Comic Print Pullover and Jogger Pants, $39

Option number two for being comfy while watching the movie. Although wearing both would probably be overkill.

Not sure about the leggings, but I love the pullover.

This is cute and the low part isn't too long to get accidentally stepped on.

30 Days of Star Wars: Adventure Time

When artists create works based off two things I love. Also a Princess Leia/Princess Bubblegum cosplay is on my list.

30 Days of Star Wars: Pentatonix Star Wars Tribute.

I didn't watch the American Music Awards last night, thus I didn't see who performed. But this will probably be the best out of all of them.

30 Days of Star Wars: The Star Wars Auditions

Last night, SNL had another installment of The Star Wars audition tapes.

That was funny, but these are still my favorites...

30 Days of Star Wars: Star Wars Advent Calendar

I was going to do a Google search for Star Wars x Adventure Time artwork, when the search term Star Wars Advent Calendar popped up. Of course I had to find out what it is and oh my gosh I need this in my life! The calendar contains 24 different LEGO Star Wars themed gifts; features 5 minifigures and 2 holiday-themed Droids.

I've wanted to purchase an advent calendar ever since I started watching British YouTubers Vlogmas videos. I don't think they are not as popular in the states, but that might be changing. If I was going to break my advent calendar cherry, this would be a good one to start with.

30 Days of Star Wars: Dollar Tree Finds

On a recent trip to Dollar Tree, I came across a lot of Star Wars merchandise. Honestly though, where can you not find the stuff? We'll be up in our eyeballs in it by the time the movie comes out. But I don't care because it's cool to find cool merchandise in all price ranges. Plus the Dollar Tree is an awesome place to get stocking fillers or create a Star Wars themed basket.

Some of the things I found:

Chicken Noodle Soup. I bought a can for my lunch at work, but I have to say I like the Spaghetti-O's version better.

Darth Vader Door Hanger

Holiday Countdown Chalkboard. Using these to countdown The Force Awakens.  ;)

Door Cover

I may have bought a few to use these for my friends Christmas presents.

The cheapest kids Darth Vader costume ever.

Balloons and Journals

To keep your PB&J BB-8 fresh.

Some other things I saw but forgot to take pictures of; Santa hats, Christmas stockings, and gift wrap. Basically Dollar Tree has almost everything you need to get your Star Wars merchandise fix.

30 Days of Star Wars: May the Cross Stitch Be With You

Next to sewing, cross stitching is one of my favorite craft activities. Unfortunately, I've been so busy the past few months that I haven't had a chance to make one. But after checking out these Star Wars cross stitch patterns, I might have to set aside some time for these.

30 Days of Star Wars: Creating my R2-D2 Costume: Part One

I'm currently taking a costuming class at my local community college and our final project is a costume of our design from our chosen era. Since I knew I wanted to make a new costume to wear for Star Wars, I decided to make an R2-D2 costume, re-imagined in the 1950s.

Upon talking to my teacher, she pointed me in the direction of researching sci-fi films from the 1950s. Here are some of my inspirations for the costume. Once I have it finalized, then I can do the fun part, looking for the items to create it!

30 Days of Star Wars: Her Universe Star Wars Collection

Unless you've been living under a rock, you might have heard that a certain movie revisiting a "Galaxy far, far, away" will make its way into theaters next month. 30 days to be exact. So to commemorate it, I'll be attempting to write a Star Wars post every day until the Dec. 17 (yeah it actually comes out on the 18th, but we all know die hard fans will be watching it the night before.)
I'll be posting everything to DIY projects to links to worthwhile articles. I'll also be documenting a R2D2 costume I.m creating for my costuming class.

First off, yesterday Her Universe partnered with Hot Topic and released an exclusive collection and of course I want it all! Her Universe really paved the way to bring fandom fashion mainstream. I remember when the only way to express your favorite fandom, a word that wasn't even used back then, was buying the shirts in the men's department. Now you can find clothing at every big box store and there are a plethora of crafters online that make fandom clothing and accessories. Stayed tuned for that post!

As for the Star Wars collection, here are my favorites.

Princess Leia Dress
Darth Vader Cape Dress
Darth Vader Faux Leather Jacket. Inside the lining is red with "You underestimate the power of the dark side" printed on the inside.
BB-8 Bomber Jacket. There's also Boba Fett version.

Baseball tee with the Star Wars cast

R2-D2 Sweater

Darth Vader Sweater

Do you plan on purchasing anything from the line?
