I Made Face

If you haven't tried the I Made Face app you're missing out. The free app lets you create pop art profiles of yourself or anyone else you fancy. Here are some of my creations.

Lines of Color

When you look at this, you might think it's modern artwork by a up-and-coming artist. But what if I told you it was actually the frames from all seven Harry Potter films compressed? This comes from Movie Barcode and while the concept is not new, it's still a cool effect to see how the color progresses in a film or even see the various shades of a favorite directors color (such as Alfonso Cuarón).

Etsy Finds: Movie Posters

Movie posters are designed to entice the public about upcoming movies on usually a 11''x14'' piece of glossy paper. Sometimes they can be amazing works of art, but most of the time it's just bad Photoshop. While I have some favorite poster designs, I wouldn't want my home to look like I pilfered posters from every movie-plex near me. Which is why I like these posters on Etsy. Their interpretations give a the viewer a fresh perspective from the original poster. Plus if you have already seen the movie, you'll immediately recognize some of the images from specific scenes from that movie. Here are some of my favorites.

The Little Golden Book of Movies

When I was little I would always tote around my Little Golden Books and be the little book nerd. Next to the Berenstain Bears and Dr. Seuss, those books were some of my favorite to read. I remember reading Baby Dear until it sadly fell apart. I eventually graduated to reading American Girls, The Baby-Sitters Club, Fear Street and the perennial classics, but I will always fondly remember my Little Golden books. So when I saw these Little Golden Book inspired movie prints, appropriately titled "Lil' Inappropriate Prints," by Josh Cooley, I knew I need to have some of these gracing my walls.
