I Made Face

If you haven't tried the I Made Face app you're missing out. The free app lets you create pop art profiles of yourself or anyone else you fancy. Here are some of my creations.

Of course I did some Doctor Who versions:
Nine
Ten
Eleven
Four
(Although it kinda looks like a Jonas brother. It's not the same without his scarf.)

Sunday Videos: Would You Like A Dance With Your Mac Book?

This weeks Sunday videos were recommended by Carrie of Random Sweetness. In them, 12 year old Trevor Moran dances inside an Apple store. I give props to him for doing this cause I most certainly wouldn't have done this in public when I was 12, heck even now. Well, maybe if I knocked back a few and it was a social event and not at an Apple Store. I also found out through my brother that he did most of his videos at the store where we live.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars Tee (from the boys dept.): Old Navy
Skirt: Vera Wang for Kohl's
Necklace: Forever 21
Flats: Trouve

Another graphic tee from the boys department. Unlike the other boys graphic tees that we have in the store, these are surprisingly comfy. I also made the neckline area more relaxed by taking off the banded collar. I really like the licensed tees we have at work and the amount I have is slowly growing.

In other news...I finally got my iPhone4 yesterday. It's the standard black iPhone but it wasn't until I got home and went online and saw that the iPhone4 in white was finally being released today. Apparently the sales gal at Verizon needed to make a sale yesterday and didn't bother telling me about the white iPhone4. Ah, oh well and that's what iPhone cases are for. I already had three cases way before I even purchased my phone and I'm already browsing on-line for more cases. I will have to do a post on my faves.

Of course I had to have a Hello Kitty cover. Isn't it cute?

 iphonecases
I got these two from TJ Maxx. I have a flower case just like this, for my iPod Touch excpet that one is blue and white. I like the checked print of the other case. Bonus, it glows in the dark!

Ok, time to go watch the Royal Wedding with my mom. Who's going to be crazy and stay up to watch it too?

Favorite Jeans and Cool Gadgets

 Top: Banana Republic
Cardigan and Jeans: Old Navy
Strawberry Necklace: Forever 21

These jeans are probably my favorite pair right now. They're the perfect dark skinny jean. I wear them constantly, which means I should get another pair just so I don't wear these ones out.
My iPod Touch posing with the Dwight bobble head I thrifted for $3 :)

On Monday I finally got my new toy, an iPod Touch! I got it to use it as an MP3 player, but I have to say the applications are really addicting. It helps that there's Wi-Fi in our house, so if I'm not near the computer, I can check my e-mail or whatever. I hope that doesn't make me sound extremely lazy. Hehe. Now I just have to figure out how to hook it up to my car speakers so I no longer have to carry or listen to comercial radio.

On a final note, RIP Alexander McQueen.
Your vision and talent in the fashion world and beyond will be missed.

Thrifting Finds and a Special Purchase

Went thrifting today and I picked up a few cute things.

Red flutter sleeved-top with cute little anchors on it.

Blue and white rose print dress.
It's a little longer than I would like, so it will be shortened.

Beautiful pink beaded gown. I can picture a young Loretta Lynn or Dolly Parton wearing this while performing at the Grand Ole Opry. It's from Jake Bryan and after doing a little research found out it was a clothing line from the 60's/70's. I've been thinking about opening up an Etsy shop and when I do have one, this dress will be in there.

I also ordered this today....

The iPod Touch!

I got sucked into the iPad hype. But after really thinking about it, I decided that the iPod Touch would be best for me. Helps that someone brought me back down to earth about what I really wanted out of device like this. :P
I ended up getting the 64GB and I got a pretty good deal through my work.
Can't wait to get my hands on it!

This Apple is Very Tempting

In some ways I still don't feel technology advanced. I'm currently using my sisters 5 year-old computer that is slowly losing memory space and I still own a CD player. Mind you it does have MP3 capabilities, if I burn the songs on a data disc.

So to feel more in the loop, I've been saving up for the iPod Touch the past few months, which I'm hoping to get soon.

But now Apple releases this....

The iPad

As I see it, it's an iPod that mated with a Mac Book and took some steroids. Plus it has an unfortunate product name. Let the woman's mensuration jokes begin.

But I think it would be cool to have a video/music player/reader combo. Yeah it has no camera or a phone capabilities, but do you really want to take pictures or talk on that? Also it's not the most portable music player, but I'm waiting for the App that will make the iPad screen look like a old school boom box. Cause that won't make me look like an ass at all. :P

I'll have to go to my local Apple store and see if they have one to fiddle around with. Plus I have to weigh the pros and cons of it. One of them is the $300 price difference between a 64GB iPod Touch and a 64GB iPad.

Anyone wanting to get their paws on this magical and revolutionary device*, or are you going to wait for the next generation?

*Apple's words, not mine :P
