The Perfect Coat

I love this coat that Natalie Portman wore on her way to the Letterman Show yesterday. Everyone else can have camel. Navy is my fall color of choice.

Oh, Anthro!

If  I listed what my favorite stores are, Anthropologie would definitely be on the top. I just love perusing all the pretty clothing and quirky home goods. I haven't been into one in a while because I know that if went into an Anthropologie, I would walk away with something.
So with the credit card safely far away from my computer, here are some of my favorite items currently on the site:

Parlor Games Dress and Traced Twirls Dress
Sugar & Cream Dress and Dried Leaves Dress
Andalusian Horse Dress and Highest Accolades Dress
Lincolnshire skirt, Peppered & Striped skirt, Higgledy-Piggledy skirt
Cream Confection Jacket and Dollhouse Jacket
Page-Turner Trench Coat and Frill Force Jacket

This Apple is Very Tempting

In some ways I still don't feel technology advanced. I'm currently using my sisters 5 year-old computer that is slowly losing memory space and I still own a CD player. Mind you it does have MP3 capabilities, if I burn the songs on a data disc.

So to feel more in the loop, I've been saving up for the iPod Touch the past few months, which I'm hoping to get soon.

But now Apple releases this....

The iPad

As I see it, it's an iPod that mated with a Mac Book and took some steroids. Plus it has an unfortunate product name. Let the woman's mensuration jokes begin.

But I think it would be cool to have a video/music player/reader combo. Yeah it has no camera or a phone capabilities, but do you really want to take pictures or talk on that? Also it's not the most portable music player, but I'm waiting for the App that will make the iPad screen look like a old school boom box. Cause that won't make me look like an ass at all. :P

I'll have to go to my local Apple store and see if they have one to fiddle around with. Plus I have to weigh the pros and cons of it. One of them is the $300 price difference between a 64GB iPod Touch and a 64GB iPad.

Anyone wanting to get their paws on this magical and revolutionary device*, or are you going to wait for the next generation?

*Apple's words, not mine :P

Romper Room

I have worn many incarnations of rompers throughout my childhood. From the cute little plaid ones with the tie straps when I was a toddler to the ones with the attached bike shorts that I wore in elementary school that I thought were the coolest.
Then for a while I could never find any that I liked that didn't make me look like...
  1. A five-year-old
  2. A zoo keeper
  3. A mechanic
  4. A extra in a 70's film.
But recently there have been a lot of cute rompers/jumpsuits that don't make you look like the aforementioned. Here are some that I spotted on Shopbop, Urban Outfitters, and Revolve.
Shoshanna, Marc by Marc Jacobs, What Comes Around Goes Around

Lark & Wolf by Steven Alan, Loeffler Randall

Lyell, Wren

These are all well out of my price range, but hopefully I can find one that is flattering and affordable.

Wishing and a hoping...

I think I have found one of the loveliest skirts for fall.
I'm not sure if it was the color or the artsy floral design.
But when I saw it in this month's
InStyle, I knew I had to have it.
It's a shame that the skirt, from the Olsen's Elizabeth and James line, is $300.

Maybe I'll find a skirt similar to it, or fate will let me cross paths
with it and I will have the funds to purchase it.

But for now one can dream and use
Polyvore to create two outfits around it.

Just around the corner...

As much as I love summer, like the other bloggers out there, I can't wait for fall. Even if fall in So. Cal comes later in the year. Maybe because once we hit fall, it's a signaling for the end of the year.
It's our last time to stop and take a breath before the madness of the holiday season encroaches upon us. Another great thing about fall being around the corner, is see all of the new fall fashions.
I happen to receive the fall Anthropologie Catalog in the mail today and they had some really cute, if extremely expensive clothes. Here are some of my faves...

I also went into Payless the other day and they actually had some pretty cute shoes this time around.
These are on the short list of what I want to get...

Madison Button Ankle Boot - I love the Victorian styling to it.

|

Koko Gilley Pump - Not only do I love the color,
it would really stand out with black, grey and navy, but I like the name of the shoe.
It sounds like the name of someone that would have been in the party scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's

|

Harlee Oxford Pump - Love the black and white contrast.
I would wear it with black tights.
