Looking Forward: November...

Last month I ended up not going to the Dr.Horrible/Guild screening and I still haven't watched Where the Wild Things Are (although I will finally watch it on Thursday), which is a giant fail on my part.
But hopefully I'll get to cross off everything from my must see list this month:

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Yet another children's book-turned-movie this time from Rushmore director Wes Anderson. Based on the book by Rolad Dahl. I like how he's using stop-motion-animation. It has this classic feel to it, like something you could have watched when you were 6 years old.

Season 3 Finale of Mad Men

Can't believe the season finale is on Sunday already. It's just one of those shows that's all around well-written, acted and directed. Not to mention the costuming and set design. Still need to catch up on the last two episodes before then.

The Guild
Before this, I have never watched a web-series in my life. Usually when I think that the only reason why they are on the web is because they wouldn't be good enough on TV. This series changed my mind. I think it's one of the funniest web-series out there, even if it's the only one I really watch. You don't have to be some serious gamer to watch it, cause believe me, I'm not. But if you want 8 min great witty writing, you should check it out.I'm kinda that there's only three more episodes left this season.

Their Special Halloween Episode

The Twilight Saga: New Moon
I'm putting this last, cause I know most people in the bloggsphere and (everywhere in general) is getting tired of all this Twilight/New Moon talk and I can understand. The hype is everywhere and it can get taxing at times. Seriously, do they need to show a new clip of the movie everyweek? Minus well show the whole movie now. But it's a cheestastic love story and who doesn't love cheese every now and then? I'll be one those at the midnight showing come November 20, and yes I bought my tickets over a month ago. :P

Music video for Death Cab for Cutie's - "Meet Me on the Equinox"
The soundtrack is pretty good. Basically an intro to indie music for tweens. LOL.

What are on your must see lists this month?

What a Crazy Random Happenstance...

I'm slowing feeling better, realizing that things like this happen and all you can do is learn from it and move on.
One of the things I did like about him was that he introduced me to new shows. One of them is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Although I have heard of it last year, I actually didn't watch it until a few months ago.

Created by Joss Whedon during the writers strike, it stars Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day. The premise of the web series, is that Dr. Horrible (Harris) is an aspiring supervillian. However, he's in love with do-gooder Penny (Day), who happens to like his arch-nemisis, Captain Hammer (Fillion).

It's such a funny and catching musical, one that I can watch over and over again. Plus it won an Emmy for Oustanding Special Class—Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program at the Creative Arts Emmy's yesterday. If you haven't watched this yet, you should.
