Dress: From Mervyn's a long time ago
Cardigan: Old Navy
Necklace: Lauren Conrad for Kohl's
Watch: Target
Flats: Trouve
This past weekend, I did a major closet purge and was able to donate two large garbage bags to my local Goodwill. It felt so good just getting rid of things I never wore and was probably never going to wear. While I was cleaning my closet, I found this dress smushed in between some other dresses and its the tag was still attached. The dress is a good 5-7 years old because I got it from Mervyn's before the company folded and all its stores closed and now I'm finally wearing it. I might have to thank Everybody, Everywear for that.
Have you ever had a piece of clothing (that wasn't formal wear) sit in your closet for a good 2+ years?

I have a few jackets in my closet that have been there forever and I have never worn them. You look super pretty! Your hair looks perfect :) I must get me some green this spring, apparently it looks great with black :)
Yes, ALL of the time! Thanks to blogging those clothes have been worn a lot more lately though. This skirt is beautiful!
Good for you for the closet purge. I keep thinking I need to do that asap! Every time I look in my closet I think there are things that haven't been worn in far too long. Time to get rid of them. Maybe that will be on to-do list this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration. - Katy
I love that dress! I definitely find clothes that I haven't worn in years. The dress looks great on you.
I've had clothing that I've thrifted that months go by before I wear it. You lucked out with the "brand new" dress. Will you keep it? Admiring the frog on the fence behind you.
