Jason Wu for Target

Confession. I'm tired of the designer collaborations. What was once an neat and exciting way to bring high fashion to the masses, has grown to where a majority of the people buying it are just trying to sell it on ebay. Which was the case with the Missioni for Target line. Would you really shell out $31,000 for a pair of $34.99 rain boots? I certainly wasn't going to. I also have to say the recent Versace for H&M collection wasn't enticing at all. They all looked like clothes I would wear to a Decade of the Supermodels costume party.

I was about to write off designer collaborations completely when I saw the Jason Wu for Target look book on Lucky this morning and I have to say I love the collection. It's the first one I'll been excited to see in person in a long time. I love how the clothes in the collection aren't carbon copies of his runway designs, but you can see his ladylike aesthetics in each piece.

The collection hits stores on February 5th and everything is under $60. If there's only one thing I get, it would be the floral blue purse. Here's hoping that it looks just as good in person as it does in these photos.

I'm actually going to be in the States to buy these things! Words cannot describe how excited I am to be able to shop at Target again (haha, weird I know, it's a Canadian thing) Anyways I'd love to get my hands on outfits 4, 7, 8 & 10. I really enjoy how chic these outfits are without looking like cheap copies of couture outfits. They are actually wearable, mixable and pretty. Good job Jason Wu!

I'm so excited about this collection! I really hope Target gets their shit together after the drama of the Missoni collection and yeah I wasn't a big fan of the Versace stuff either :/

The last Target collaboration I really liked was with Thakoon, so I have high hopes for this one. I love shopping at Target and I always forget it's only in the states. Although my sister loves going to Target when she visits since it takes an hour to go to the nearest Target since she lives in Queens.

I hope so too. I wondering though since it's only clothes, shopping on-line won't be as crazy as the Mission collection. Here's hoping it's not.
