I think the hardest part of the Holiday retail season for me is almost and that's the seasonal hiring process. At my work, I had hire 30+ seasonal associates and it has been draining. The interviews, the paperwork, the videos, try to get the new hires to interact much less talk during orientation. It's such a draining process. During one group interview, one of the applicants said that they had to make a phone call, left, and never came back. The interview was almost done. Needless to say they weren't called back.
I had another interview today and it was excruciating. I had to basically pry the answers out of the interviewee. Oh and I had one new hire that I had to keep rescheduling their orientation. I had my last one today, which they were supposed to go to, but they called and couldn't make it and wanted to have it at 4pm on a different day. Seriously?

Stepping off my rant box.
Back to regularly scheduled programming tomorrow.

Love that scarf! I worked in retail for the past three years and I definitely do not miss the whole seasonal hiring process.
