I have always liked Ryan Gosling when he was in the New Mickey Mouse Club and Flash Forward on the Disney Channel.
I like him even more when he was in The Notebook, one of my all time favorite movies. (I still a bit sad that's he no longer with Rachel McAdams. They were so cute together.)
Now I have another reason to like him. He recently started a band with his friend called Dead Man's Bones.
The road from actor to musician has been paved with not so successful attempts; paging Bruce Willis, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Russel Crowe, but after listening to these two songs, I think Ryan will have a good second career ahead of him.
Check out the videos for two of the songs, "In the Room Where You Sleep" and "Name in Stone."
When I listen to it I get this mix of Nick Cave/Ian Curtis and maybe Tom Waits.
What do you think?
