Six Seasons and a Movie

If NBC spent as much time promoting Community as it did with The Revolution, I would be watching the premiere of season 4 tonight. Curse you NBC! This makes me so Changry!

Till then fellow Human Beings, here are some videos to tide you over until NBC decides to leave the darkest timeline and gives Community a definitive premier date.

Sunday Videos: Starburns El Starprince

In Community's funny send up of Law & Order type shows last week, we learn some unfortunate news about Starburns. Hopefully it's not true but for now are two videos that he did with Abed for their Spanish class.

At first I was stractching my head wondering what episode this was from, but later found out that these were YouTube only videos.

Sunday Videos: Holiday TV

I can't believe that next week is Christmas! There's still some cards to mail out, presents to buy/make,  a dress to be made*, and a TARDIS to be built (more on that later this week). So for my last Sunday Videos for the year, (whoa!) here are clips of some of my favorite holiday themed episodes.

How can I not start without mentioning A Charlie Brown Christmas? A television staple since 1965, this classic specials needs to be watched every year.

Ok, who didn't have a crush on Seth Cohen during The O.C.'s heyday? He brought Chrismukkah into TV pop culture spectrum and I always watch the episodes for some early '00 nostalgia.

I'm so disappointed that Community is on a long hiatus right now. It's hands down one of the best shows on TV right now. Amazing cast and Dan Harmon is a genius. I do hope Community gets a season 4 just so we can have one more Christmas Episode.

Seriously isn't Sheldon's reaction to the gift Penny gave him on The Big Bang Theory's season one Christmas episode the cutest thing ever? Here's the link since I can't embed it here.

Let's not forget about Doctor Who. I'm so excited for this years Christmas special, "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe."

I know there are some Christmas themed episodes/specials that I might have overlooked, so what are your favorites?

*Thanks for everyone that voted for which dress I'll be making. The pattern I'll be using is pattern 3, so I'll be sewing it this week and pictures of the finished dress will be posted next week. :)

When Fandoms Collide

Last week I posted on how Community had a little spoof on Doctor Who called Inspector Spacetime. Well leave it to the Community and Doctor Who fandoms to take this 26 second clip and run with it. Not only does it have it's own page on TV Tropes, but there's also fan-fic and a blog called Inspector Spacetime Confessions, where people submit their thoughts about the "show."

Here are some of the submissions:

You can also buy an Inspector Spacetime t-shirt and poster.

Sometimes the internet does do good work.

Inspector Spacetime

So this happened on the season premiere of Community tonight...

And I totally had a fan girl moment. A great Doctor Who spoof. I'm just surprised Abed being the TV/Movie savant, hadn't found out about Inspector Spacetime earlier.

There was also a Dowtown Abbey/Cougar Town spoof...

Community is one of my favorite shows and if you haven't watched it yet, you need to add it to your TV list.

On a somewhat related note, if you want to delve further into my fandoms, you can check out my Tumblr. But I have to warn you, it's not for the faint of heart. :P

Tonal Deaf?

whatiwore.05.05.11_2

Top, Cardigan, Skirt, Belt and Flats: Old Navy
Necklace and Ring: Forever 21

Trying out the whole color blocking thing today. Well this is more tonal, but I like the way it came out. and makes want to experiment more with this trend. Are there any spring/summer trends you want to try out? I know it was close to 100 degrees outside today, but I still wore a cardigan. The top was sleeveless and not to fond of my arms. I couldn't find my short sleeved cardigan, so I had to wear this one and I constantly had to roll up my sleeves.
Enough ramblings about this outfit, did anyone catch part one of Community's season finale? I thought last years take on actions movies in the paintball episode "Modern Warfare" was awesome. But they topped themselves this time with "A Fist Full of Paintballs" and how they used western movie themes, and possibly other themes, to propel this seasons paintball story.

 Drool

This episode cemented Annie as one of my top three favorite characters on the show.

The other two Troy and Abed.
I love how they made Annie the leader. She was such a bad ass, a complete 180 from how she usually is. Plus Sawyer, uh I mean Josh Holloway, guest starred on the show. Much like how Friends and HIMYM has their annual Thanksgiving episode, I hope Community continues with their yearly paintball extravaganzas.
