Resolve this!

During the beginning of January, people all over the world make resolutions. Probably 10% of them actually follow through on them. I am part of the 90% that break their resolutions. So this year I want to be part of the 10%.
I know it's going to be challenging since I tend to give up when I hit the halfway mark. But this year I'm going to follow through with my resolutions.
  • Be healthier - I used to go the gym twice a week and watched what I ate. But when I started working the graveyard shift at this casino hotel in Dec. of '06, that all went to crap. I no longer work there, but I can't seem to let go of my bad eating habits. This is the year I will do it. I have already stopped drinking soda, which is a start. I also plan on going back to the gym and embracing fruits and veggies again. Junk food is not your friend.
  • Stop buying/reading gossip mags - I always had some weird fascination with celebs, so it was only natural to pick up Us Weekly or In Touch once a week to find out the goings on in celeb-land. But after what I call Celebrity Screw Ups 2007, I'm burnt out. I no longer care which starts are "just like us" or who's swapping spit this week. The same goes with shows like Extra and Access Hollywood. I can't stand some of those "entertainment correspondents." I swear all the women hosts on the show sound exactly the same. So this is the year I will rid myself of celebrity voyeurism. However I will still watch Best Week Ever and The Soup. Love you Joe McHale.
  • Be more adventurous style wise - While I do like to dress up, I have always been a jeans and fancy shirt gal. This year I want to take more risks in what I wear and not be afraid of what people think. I think I'll mix it up and wear more skirts and dresses, which I have plenty of in my closet but are now in my closet gathering dust. I also want to go thrifting more again. I miss perusing the racks and finding that special item I know no one else has. I have to credit the many wonderful fashion blogs that I have been reading the past few months that have inspired me to try new things.
I probably have more resolutions floating in my head right now, but those are the three main ones. Wish me luck!

Oh, I also wish you luck on your resolutions, goals, whatever you like to call them.
