To think last week started my Comic-Con adventure. But as with any great adventure, it must eventually end and Sunday was the final day of Comic-Con 2010.
I started off the morning packing up and checking out the hotel; thinking I had enough time to make it to the Castle panel at 10:30am. But as I should have known, there were people who got up even earlier than me. I got there around 9:30am only to find out that people were waiting in line since 7am and the line was closed due to the room being filled to capacity. Nathan Fillion sure does make people want to wake up really early on a Sunday.

So I made one more trip around the exhibition hall, before making my way over to the line at Ballroom 20, so I can make if for the Glee panel at 1:30pm. Then a cool thing happened on the way over. I saw one of my old classmates, Amanda, from high school and the last time we saw each other was 10 years ago! What the what! She still looks the same, but older and she's married and has a kid. Her mom was also there, who I also knew from church, so it was great talking to them while waiting to get into Ballroom 20. However, when we finally got in, we were separated because there was only single seats. Luckily we exchanged numbers and are both on Facebook so hopefully we can catch up some more.
After the Supernatural and American Dad panels came the Glee panel. Some might say why is there a Glee panel at Comic-Con? But I see can why it would be. To me Glee is just a celebration of my musical nerdom. Isn't that what Comic-Con is all about? To celebrate everything that is awesome and good in the nerd/geek world?
Anyways, the panel was great, save for a not so great season recap I didn't like the way they presented the scenes from last season, it felt really choppy and disconnected. It was just the more supporting characters in the show or as some people would say, the B-cast. But I like that it was them. There were a lot of new info for the next season, which starts filming in August. Such as a Rocky Horror Picture Show themed episode, Tina falling out of love with Artie and instead with Mike (aka "The Other Asian"), and the show is going to center more on the characters instead of the musical numbers. So instead of 8 musical numbers each episode, it'll be 5.
With the Glee panel under my belt, I stuck around for the Sons of Anarchy and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia panels to be there for the close of Comic-Con with the screening of the highly touted, Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode "Once More With Feeling." This was the sing-along screening, so not only did everyone sing along, but they hoot and hollered at the screen. I remember watching some episodes when Dawn was introduced, but was she really that hated on the series? Fun fact, the choreographer was no other than current So You Think You Can Dance judge, Adam Shankman.
When the end credits rolled, it was time. The end of Comic-Con 2010. Every one started making their way out of the convention center and back to their real lives. It was sad knowing it was over, but I knew that next year will roll around again and I'll get to spend 4 days with my fanatics/nerds once again.
