Sunday Videos: Comic-Con 2012

On Friday I went to Comic-Con and it was a lot of fun and I'll have a full recap of it on Tuesday. But with so many things going on during Comic-Con, you tend to miss out on a lot of stuff. Good thing there's the internet and YouTube.

When Nerd HQ announced that there was going to be a panel with the cast of Doctor Who, (Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill) tickets sold out in 15 seconds. Luckily they streamed it and it was awesome. I love this hipster cast and I'll be sad to see Karen and Arthur depart the Doctor and his TARDIS.

John Barrowman (Captain Jack on Doctor Who and Torchwood) interviewed Matt, Karen, and Arthur for G4 and only he can introduce the cast in his own cheeky way.

One of the most anticipated panels at Comic-Con on Friday was the 10th Anniversary of Firefly. I was hoping to get a volunteer assignment for Ballroom 20 so I can be at the panel, but alas I didn't. But I got to watch the panel yesterday and I think if I was there, I would have probably gotten all emotional about it too.

Whovian Wednesdays: The Ballad of Russell and Julie

On Sunday, I posted the cast and crew of Doctor Who singing along to The Proclaimers "500 Miles." The video was part of a DVD that the crew got at the end of David Tennant's run as the Doctor. Also included in that DVD was a tribute to Executive Producer and Writer Russell T. Davies and Executive Producer Julie Gardner who were also leaving the series.

Performed by David Tennant, Catherine Tate, and John Barrowman, their version is a take off of British Comedian Victoria Wood's "Let's Do It" which is a cheeky piano tune about a couple wanting to, how can I put this lightly, getting it on.
