Midnight Movies

30 for 30 Items:
Old Navy Blue w/red Polka Dot Top and Black Skinny Jeans
Payless Black Mini-Wedges
The Icing:
Walmart Studded Belt
H&M Bow Bracelet

First off, while I like my outfit I hate the way black jeans get so linty. I went so far to pack a lint remove brush in my purse. When the 30 for 30 is over, I need to find some lint repellant pants.

Yesterday was an extremely fun but extremely tiring. After work I made my way up to Los Angeles with my brother and his friend for the midnight Scott Pilgrim Screening over at the New Beverly Cinema. First off we had dinner via the famous Kogi Truck over in Eagle Rock. I've heard about how yummy their food is and after finally trying it, I agree. I had the short rib, spicy pork and chef's special calamari tacos. The short rib had a nice tang to it while the pork was not as spicy as I thought it would be. However the calamari taco was super spicy. In fact, it cleared up my sinuses. On my list of the best tacos I have ever eaten.

For dessert, I bought a moon pie and a red velvet cupcake from Milk which was a block away from the New Beverly. I never had a fresh moon pie before and if was filled with chocolate and marshmallow goodness. The cupcake I saved until today and it was still moist and yummy. I would go to Los Angeles more often just for the food.

Sign we saw as we were walking to the Kogi Truck. I do hope they find their dog, but an actual picture might have been better.

The screening was fun although it didn't start until 12:30am. There's only one screening room and the previous screening/ Q&A session ran longer than expected. The screening was moderated by comedian Doug Benson and before the movie, director/writer Edgar Wright and some of the cast member came out to introduce it. Afterwards, there was a Q&A session which was more like 7 questions that the cast answered and a little trivia game for the cast where they could win Scott Pilgrim prizes to an audience member of their choosing.

By the time the screening and everything was finished, it was 4am. When my brother and I got home, the sun was getting ready to come out. I got home and passed out and didn't wake up until noon. So while it was fun, I don't think I'll be doing something like that for a while.

Director/writer Edgar Wright, Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mae Whitman (Roxy Richter), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil) and co-writer Michael Bacall.

Sounds like a fun weekend, that food all looks yummy!

I usually keep lint rollers in my purse and in my car, they come in such handy, I have no idea how I manage to attract so much lint!

I specifically avoided a great black shirtdress I have for 30x30 because the dang thing gets so linty! If it's any consolation the pants look great.

Also, that dog poster cracks me up. Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like you had a great time. My husband and I are huge Michael Cera fans, so that's so great that you got to attend the Q&A session afterwords.

I'm loving that polka dot top. Very cute!
